Project Description

This project reflects a thoughtful connection between elevation and interior layout, creating a cohesive flow from start to finish. Double-height spaces in key areas enhance vertical openness and allow for a strong connection to the exterior, maximizing natural light within the home. The basement is no exception to the rule – neatly furnished as a bright, airy, open area, ironically feels anything but enclosed. A neutral color palette of greys and browns add to the warmth and sophistication of the colors used throughout in favor of the material textures. The design prioritizes the idea of functionality above anything else, where all areas have functionality without obscuring beauty. Sensible application of lights enhances the ambiance, which means there are visual interests and spatial profundity.
